The Chaperon team has organised a seminar on European Research Council (ERC) project calls led by Prof. Zdeněk Strakoš, which took place at our Faculty’s Biomedical Center. ERC projects represent the most prestigious European research funding programme. They are also an important criterion of research assessment at Charles University. Prof. Strakoš (Faculty of Mathematics and Physics, CUNI) is a respected authority in the Czech ERC community as he has been an ERC panel member and later a panel head for several years. The seminar resulted in a very productive and vivid discussion with the potential applicants. During the final discussion, senior researchers and research managers of our Faculty also joined the discussion, focusing mainly on the possible ways to support the applicants and other systemic supportive mechanisms at the level of our Faculty.
