The Gliwice Scientific Meetings are organized jointly by the Maria Skłodowska-Curie National Research Institute of Oncology and the Silesian University of Technology, the two major scientific centers located in Gliwice. The conference is focused on different aspects of cancer research, molecular and cellular biology, medicine, biotechnology, and bioinformatics. Professor Kari Hemminski had lecture at 25th Gliwice Scientific Meetings on Friday, 19th November 2021 by addressing the issue of “Science and society” in the opening part of the conference.
