Prof. Kari Hemminki visited the Netherlands comprehensive cancer organisation (IKNL) in Utrecht on 14.6.2023. IKNL is the quality institute for oncological and palliative research and practice. IKNL It coordinates and maintains from the Netherlands Cancer Registry (NCR), which is one of the most comprehensive in the world. The registration is locally organized through regional centers which are well integrated with IKNL. Hemminki made a presentation ‘Cancer metastasis’ transmitted through the IKNL video system to all regional centers. IKNL hosts a professional staff of some 200 persons who publish more than 200 papers annually on cancer related topics.
